The Swedish Krona (SEK) is the official currency of Sweden, first introduced in 1873. It is identified by the ISO 4217 code SEK and is commonly represented by the symbol kr. The issuance and management of the Swedish Krona are overseen by the Sveriges Riksbank (Swedish National Bank). Currently, there are banknotes in denominations of 20, 50, 100, 200, 500, and 1000 kronor, along with coins in denominations of 1, 2, 5, and 10 kronor.
